The 5th annual Pawsitive Haven Animal Rescue (PHAR) show and shine in Carstairs on Aug. 26 featured 231 vehicles, compared with just under 200 in 2022, and ended up raising a little more than $5,000, says PHAR owner Ashley Reid.

“It was a huge success,” she said.

Money was raised through entry fees, donations, a market and a silent auction.

Volunteer Jacki Bourassa was key in putting on the show and shine again in 2023, said Reid.

The organization continues to look for foster homes for dogs, she said.
