OLDS — The Olds Golf Club hosted a Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of Alberta mentor tournament on May 30.

The inaugural event paired one Class A professional with a PGA apprentice.

The tournament was won by the Calgary team of Josh Fleming of 365 Golf and Matthew Cook from Riverside Golf Academy in a playoff over Craig Vogel of Golftec and Jeff Diduck of Modern Golf.

Both posted scores of 5 under par.

“They played a nine-hole Texas scramble and nine-hole best ball,” Olds Golf Club pro Wade Bearchell wrote in an email.
