About a dozen young soccer enthusiasts came out for the weekly session. The new club, which is not-for-profit, was formed by Timbits coaches who wanted to continue to offer youth aged 4-18 a local option to play soccer beyond the end of the regular season. Aside from providing an opportunity to have fun, the free-to-attend weekly soccer club, which runs until the end of August, also offers a chance for kids to learn about the sport while learning teamwork and life skills, said Hayden Korethoski, 16, one of the coaches. Check out the group's Facebook page, Sundre Soccer Club, or call Greenwood Neighbourhood Place at 403-638-1011 for more information.
