The Alberta/NWT Command District 5 Legion Ladies Auxiliary recently held their first ever rally in Sundre. There were representives from Turner Valley, Cochrane, Airdrie, Centennial, Carstairs and of course Sundre Ladies Auxiliary branches. There were 35 members from the different branches present. District Commander Madam G. Reap conducted the meeting and has since received many phone calls from all branches and Alberta NWT Command that it was the best rally ever held. Following the business meeting, guest speaker Mary Gunderson inspired the ladies with her very thoughtful speech called Journey to Happiness. Lunch was made and served by Sundre Ladies Madams Hopkins and Whitewood with additional help from other Sundre members. Everyone enjoyed a fun entertaining game and shared many laughs. There was also a very successful silent auction as well as much visiting, renewing and making of new friendships. Pictured are the Ladies from Alberta NWT District 5 rally.
