'Squawking' magpies tiring

Wha, Wha, Wha. Do you ever get tired of the magpies or crows squawking in the morning? I do, as I am tired of farmers squawking about Bill 6. Some say it's because they weren't consulted in the process.

I do, as I am tired of farmers squawking about Bill 6. Some say it's because they weren't consulted in the process. Well in my experience with farmers, the only way you can get three farmers to agree on something is to remove two of them.

I don't hear farmers and ranchers complaining about the fact that fuel for their trucks and SUVs is nine cents a litre cheaper than the average working person. I don't hear them complaining their trucks and SUVs are a complete write off from Revenue Canada Agency, as well as many other benefits and tax shelters they are entitled to, including writing off dog food for their guard dogs.

Bill 6 is designed to give workers the right to refuse unsafe work, such as running a baler without a power take-off guard, or get inside a grain bin without a dust mask, or my favourite - mix chemicals without rubber gloves and all the proper personal protective equipment.

If farmers cannot afford the safety for their operations, I am sure there is a free grant somewhere for them. All they have to do is apply, or they can just use it as a tax write off.

Keep whining because what is coming next will have you really pissed. I for one wonder why your grain trucks are so much safer than the commercial trucks going down the road. I also wonder why your 28 foot equipment going down the roads doesn't need pilot vehicles to warn other motorists that you are just on the other side of the hill.
