The Henry Sonnenberg Christmas Dinner continues to spread goodwill.

Last week, a donation of $2,000 was given by the Olds Lions Club and the Olds Legion -- along with Mr. Sonnenberg -- to the Mountain View Food Bank.

This money came from citizens throughout Olds who displayed a wonderful generosity and was given in the spirit of the season for those less fortunate than themselves.

It was donated so the dinner could be the success that it was, and it will continue to help the less fortunate throughout the year.

The Olds Legion, the Lions Club and Mr. Sonnenberg would like to thank all of the volunteers who participated in this event and made it such a success. With their help, the day went exceedingly well.

Thanks also is given to our local food suppliers for their generosity and help.

Henry Sonnenberg organized the first Christmas dinner about 30 years ago. The Olds Legion and the Olds Lions Club have committed themselves to carry this wonderful tradition onward.

Thank you, Henry Sonnenberg, for showing the way.
