Olds' recycling depot is a mess

Yes, I recycle; it feels good to see that what I take to the recycle depot is not going into a landfill. But when I go to the recycling depot in Olds, I am appalled at the mess it is in.
Here is just some of the garbage that is left beside dumpsters.

People are using this recycling depot as a garbage depot, dumping off bags of stuff, old computers, discarded baby things. I just cannot believe what is dropped off.

To add to this, because the bins do not have cement around them, the papers, plastic and any of the bins that are overflowing falls on the ground and is stuck there for the winter. If there was cement around the bins, the town could sweep or clear the area.

I have gone several times when some of the bins are totally full and so much is falling out and blowing around. I really would like to see people take more pride in our recycling depot, and I think the town should take a bit of pride in keeping the area clean by emptying the bins more often.

Do those cameras really work? Do you see who the culprits are that are dropping off huge loads of garbage? Maybe it should be locked at night, as I am sure whoever drops off bags of garbage, drops them off in the dark.

Really, how long does it take to remove labels from cans? And maybe if each of us picked up one extra piece of recycling that has fallen on the ground, it might keep it a bit cleaner. I think we all have to pitch in.
