Letter: Poor planet; how sad

How come in this day and age where technology is so amazing we cannot find a way to reuse glass, cardboard, tin and plastic?

Re: Letter to the editor headlined “Public input needed on recycling centres," page 28, Sept. 12 Albertan

Having read the letter in this week’s paper, I agree.

I find it hard to believe that no one else has written in. Perhaps like me, they were so shocked at the removal of the recycling bins they didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t think it could really happen.

Didn’t recycling make us more aware of what we were throwing out? Will it mean we are less careful how much we are throwing in the bin?

How come in this day and age where technology is so amazing we cannot find a way to reuse glass, cardboard, tin and plastic?

For years we have been told to “save the planet” by recycling and now it is too expensive and a waste of time? Poor planet. How sad.
