Letter: Cutting store hours makes exposure worse

opinion

Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing operating hours is going to make the problem far worse.

If 500 people come through your doors in 12 hours, that's 41 customers per hour.

Cut back to eight hours open and now you have 62 customers per hour.

Cut back to six hours open and now you have 83 customers per hour.

Longer operating hours is the best way to stop this, with fewer people congregating in the store all at once.

Wake up people.
