Hats off to May Queen students' efforts

On Saturday, May 14, we had the pleasure of having a Sundre High School May Queen work crew at our home to assist in doing yard work. Team Brooklynn, Jordin and Ben — representing the Class of 2016 — arrived ahead of schedule and they were ready to work!

It was an absolute joy to have these three youth from our community work along with us. The experience — our first with May Queen — exceeded our expectations. They were polite, sociable, respectful, self-directed and very hard working.

Following the completion of the job, which consisted of spreading three large totes of mulch as well as mowing the lawn, we had a barbecue lunch and a pleasant visit together. It was a pleasant end to our morning of hard work.

We appreciate and would like to commend the high school's May Queen program.

We wish these three teens, along with their classmates, a positive finish to their senior year and a future filled with success and happiness.
