At the Mountain View Marksman Association Shooting Club meeting in Carstairs on Dec. 7 the gun club was turned back to the executive, which is now completely made up of people from the county. Bob Worsfold from Olds is the new president with Jason Marks as the vice-president. Both fellows are longtime members of the club.During the last two years, our;executive from out of the county ran afoul of the county, the rural residents and the fellows who had built the gun club in 1983 so that the club was closed down last spring. At this time I would like to thank Paddy Munro and the county council members who stood by our club through our nightmare. The residents of the area have been extremely understanding at a time when they had good reason to be very upset. MLA Richard Marz was there when he wasneeded ñ and so to all of these people I would like to say thank you for saving our wonderful little club. There is much work to be done now but the worst is over and you can bet your last Zloty it will never happen again as our situation is now known all over Alberta.Dennis CombsOlds
