A tale of 'amazing' kindness

I have never written a letter to a newspaper before, so excuse me for over telling or under telling this incredible story.

I have never written a letter to a newspaper before, so excuse me for over telling or under telling this incredible story.

For as many people I have told, they all have suggested that this is an "unbelievable" story for as small that it is, it shows a part of people not heard of enough in our world today!

On Friday, March 15, I was visiting someone in Strathmore.

I don't go there often as I live very deep in the south of Calgary and it is a good hour's drive one way.

As it was almost 4 p.m., I stopped at a gas station to get gas for my ride home and by bad habit... left my wallet on top of my vehicle as I used the prepay gas pump.

I drove all the way back to Calgary, stopped to buy something and my wallet was gone!

I lost my mind.

Crying, praying profusely that someone might have found it and turned it in to the gas station.

Traffic was crazy and through my tears, felt very vulnerable as everything was in that wallet!

I finally got there, went through many garbages, went to all the merchants around the gas station to see if someone had turned it in... it was getting dark and I was losing sunlight to keep scouring the area.

By this time I was filthy, eyes swollen and was emotionally spent. Something made me call my home phone number for messages.

To my dismay, a man described himself as Cam and he had seen my wallet on the street in Strathmore and picked it up.

What makes this story unbelievable, is that he didn't just drop it off to a merchant or the Strathmore police station...

HE DROVE ALL THE WAY TO THE SOUTH OF CALGARY TO TAKE IT TO MY HOUSE!

This is just unheard of in this day of ages.

Not only did he drive an hour out of his way to hand deliver it, he had an hour to drive back home.

This story has literally changed the people's lives I have told, and I think it would change your readers' lives by knowing there are amazing, kind people out in our world after all.

His name is Cam Schmidt and works at Hildebrand Motors in Olds, so that is why I am writing this amazing story to you.

I hope you see the value in this story and share it with your readers.
