A few thoughts about the cab company feud

Re: Cab company feud - March 11, 2014 To the Melchiors: In my opinion it is unreasonable to expect to pay a one-way fare for a two-way trip. To the cab company: Perhaps you could offer a bit of a discount for a two-way trip. Maybe $12 instead of $16.

To the Melchiors:

In my opinion it is unreasonable to expect to pay a one-way fare for a two-way trip.

To the cab company:

Perhaps you could offer a bit of a discount for a two-way trip.

Maybe $12 instead of $16.

After all, the driver is right there and he doesn't have to wait for another fare.

My parents owned and operated the Olds Taxi back in the 1960s and '70s.

I remember the upset when they raised the fare for an in-town one-way to 50 cents!

It seems that some people will always expect something for nothing.

To the Olds Albertan:

I could not believe that this made the front page!

Then it continues inside for almost an entire page in total.

If Mr. Melchior didn't work for Mountain View Publishing would we have even heard about this?

Did we need to hear about this?
