The Students' Association of Olds College (SAOC) is going to the dogs.

Next week (the week of Dec. 8) it's bringing in puppies to help students cope with the stress of writing exams.

SAOC academic vice-president Harmony Giles made that announcement during an Olds and District Community Policing Advisory Society (ODCPAS) meeting last week.

“There are going to be puppies for the students to go play with so they can de-stress,” Giles said.

“I think that's a really great idea,” she said, adding one is even going to be placed in a room in the library.

ODCPAS chair Joan O'Reilly said she likes it too, adding she's seen an article on the practice.

“It's just like a calming thing,” she said.
