1951 – 2023

It is with profound sadness we announce that Mr. Wayne Walker of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at the age of 72 years after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's and several types of cancer.

Wayne leaves to mourn his wife of forty years Rachelle, sons, Mark (Teneille) and Peter, his grandchildren, Aiden and Azure, his brother Brett, and numerous extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Marion, his sister Lynn and his brother, Dale.

Wayne was a hard worker and good provider. He had many careers over the years. He worked in the oil patch, locally and overseas, he owned an oilfield trucking company as well as a company that built motorcycle frames. Wayne had a passion for motorcycles and before Parkinson's made him unable to ride, he and Rachelle went on many trips including one to Alaska. They had many camping trips in their RV. He also loved boating and built several river boats over the years, they enjoyed boating and overnighting on the boats as well. He also refurbished old cars. Wayne liked to cook and in the later years became quite the baker, his cinnamon buns were the best. He also brewed some very tasty beer.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, a private family celebration will take place at a later date. The Walker family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, technicians and everyone else who assisted Wayne in his journey.
