Clarence Emil Schwartz of Red Deer, Alberta went to be with Jesus at the Red Deer Hospice on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the age of 92 years, after a short battle with cancer.

Clarence was born on November 22, 1930, on the farm in Braddock, Saskatchewan. He married Caroline Dyck in 1954 until she passed in 2007. Clarence then married Ida Dahlke in 2009.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Ida, his daughter, Deb (Dann), his son, Bryon (Ilze), his grandchildren, Andrew (Sandra), Heather (Garrett), Amy, Steven (Stephanie), and great grandchildren Quinn, Lincoln, Myer, Alice, Anthym, Royal and  Dov. He will also be deeply missed by Ida’s family, Sherrie (Don), Glen (Viesia) and their families.

Clarence is pre-deceased by his wife, Caroline, his parents Emil and Elsie, his brother Cecil, his sisters-in-law, Shirley Schwartz and Marjorie Dyck.

Clarence will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his faith and to Jesus, his love for his family, his dedication to those he loved, his appreciation of music and his sense of humor. A very special thank you the staff at Red Deer Hospice for their wonderful care, compassion and guidance. Also, a special thank you to Dr.’s McCall and Mulder.

A Celebration of Clarence’s life will be held at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel, 4415 49 Street, Innisfail, Alberta on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Clarence’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society at reddeerhospice.com.
