Erna, beloved sister and aunt, died peacefully in Calgary. She was the second of ten children born to Daniel and Johanna Reinhardt and spent her early life on the farm at Westcott and Didsbury.
Erna is survived by her sisters Irma Rowlands, Lilly (Alvin) Stange, and Dorothy (Michael) Johnston, her brother Arthur, her sister in-law Karen Reinhardt and by 15 nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her brothers Teddy, Erhard (Bill), Oscar and Werner and by her sister Elizabeth.
She loved her independence, leaving the farm and moving to Calgary where for many years she owned and managed the Country Kitchen Café.
Erna was an ardent gardener at her home in north Calgary and was a lover of flowers and birds. She was a great help to her mother in maintaining the beautiful yard and garden at the Didsbury farm .
The Chinook Winds Lodge in Carstairs was her home for the last five years. Her family thanks the staff at the lodge for their kind and loving care.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
