1953 – 2024

It is with profound sadness that the family of Linda (nee Murray) Paré passed away in her sleep on March 22, 2024 at the age of 71 years.

On January 20, 1953, Ken and Leona Murray of Turner Valley welcomed their beautiful daughter, Linda into the world. They moved to Fort St. John where Linda was raised and took her schooling.

Linda’s hairdressing career took her to Edmonton where she met Andy, the love of her life, and were married in 1978. Andy’s job took him to Algeria, so he and his bride made a new home in Spain, where they lived for two years.  When their adventure ended, they moved to their permanent home in 1981 to Innisfail, Alberta.

Linda’s love for children was evident by the amount of children who found refuge in her home. Linda loved to camp, spending time on the boat as well as baking all her amazing cakes. Linda volunteered countless hours for various causes in her community, the Innisfail Ski Hill, St. Marguerites Hot Lunch Program, but the one dearest to her heart was the Canadian Pompe Association.

Linda is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Andrew (Andy) Paré, daughters Akaysha and Athena Paré, brother Kevin (Teresa) Murray and her nephew, Adam, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was predeceased by her son, Trevor, her parents Leona and Ken, her stepfather, Mel and two brothers Mel and Terry.
