Dec 24, 1972-Jan 15, 2022

It is with great sadness the family of Jeff Leedahl announces his passing on January 15th at the age of 49 after an 8 month battle with cancer. Jeff faced this challenge with such courage and dignity.

Jeff’s younger years were spent growing up in Olds, Hanna and Sundre.  Jeff was active in the hockey community and continued his interest in sports coaching his children’s hockey, inline and ringette. Whether it was a family member, friend, co-worker or athlete Jeff coached, he always knew how to put a smile on their face. After studying at Lethbridge College, Jeff moved to Red Deer and worked in the oilfield sector which led him to launch his successful business with his partners at Echo NDE.  It is also in Red Deer that he met the love of his life, Jacquie.  They were married in 1998 making Red Deer their home where they soon welcomed their two children, Easton and Elyssa. The family enjoyed memorable trips traveling around the world and wonderful summers at Emma Lake, SK.  Jeff packed so much love, family, travel, friendships, success, and joy into his short life.  He was an amazing man who touched the lives of many in a most profound way.  Because of this, Jeff will be greatly missed.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife Jacquie (Haworth); children Easton and Elyssa; parents Kathy and Cliff Coonfer (Olds); grandmother Maxine Leedahl; stepmother Joanne Notley (Olds); sister Shari Leedahl (Linus) (Sundre); father and mother-in-law Don and Ruth Haworth (Red Deer); sister and brother-in-law Kelli and Trevor Pollock (Strathmore); nieces Shayla Robinson (Kaleb), Jaycee and Carlee Clark and nephew Jayce Pollock.

He was predeceased by his father Doug Leedahl, his grandparents Clifford Leedahl, Shirley Espey (Wagner) and David Espey.

The family wishes to thank the loving care, comfort and support provided by the Palliative Home Care Team and Red Deer Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at 1:00 pm at Cambridge Hotel in Red Deer.  The Celebration of Life will also be live streamed at bit.ly/jeffleedahl. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Condolences can be left at www.eventidefuneralchapels.com
