Its with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Edith “Edie” Ann Jones on February 4, 2023, at the age of 73 years.

Edie was born on August 21, 1949, in Trochu, Alberta to William and Ida Walls. As a young girl Edie grew up in Oliver, B.C. She attended her school years there and eventually moved to Red Deer, AB where she started her career as a cook. On November 22, 1995 she married the love of her life Morley William Jones. They got married on a cruise ship off the cost of Hawaii.

They settled in Olds, AB, where they opened a successful laundry mat business. Edie work along side Morley to help the business in any way she could. They loved to travel and spent a lot of winters in Lake Havasu, AZ where they eventually bought a house down there. They often went south to meet friends and made many new ones while there for the winters. Edie was an amazing cook and always had something to offer.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her willingness to give. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Edie is survived by her husband Morley Jones; son Kelly Keful (Shauna) and their children Tasha, William and Shane; daughter Jody (Garry) their children Lane Sahli and Tamaira (Dilan) Kolb; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and her extended family Terry Jones and his 4 sons.

A private inurnment took place at the Olds Cemetery on February 15, 2023. In Lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made directly to Olds & District Hospice Society. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com
