Mr. Kenneth William Harde was born April 10, 1934, as an identical twin in Miami, Manitoba, and passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the age of 88 years.

Ken was an outgoing, friendly, and hard-working man. He was a carpenter, cabinet maker, contractor, drywaller and jack-of-all-trades. He loved his family and was an active member of every community that he called home. He enjoyed coaching hockey, which he did for many years in Bowden, Alberta and was passionate about horses, trail riding, hunting, golfing, curling, and fishing. Ken played the harmonica and enjoyed dancing and playing cards with family and many friends.

Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of twenty-seven years, Leola (nee Harrison) his children Kathie (Duane) Molyneux, Dianne Kuglin, George (Lisa) Harde, Barbara Larson, and Dick Bohme and stepchildren, Angela (Bill) Bailey, Lorna (Ron) Spellman, Leslie (Colleen) Harrison and Bonita (Mike) Ebelher He will also be deeply missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Ken was predeceased by his first wife Georgia Harde (nee Bindr), his parents, eleven siblings, his daughter, Darlene Bohme, and his granddaughter, Bree Harrison.

A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at the Paterson Community Hall, 27 Ave, Bowden, Alberta T0M 0K0 on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Ken’s honor may be made directly to the Friends of the Eastern Slopes at PO Box 6093, Stn Main, Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1S7.
