Oct 30th 1934 – Oct 15th 2022

It’s with great sadness, that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jean passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2022 (at age 87) in the Olds Hospital with family by her side after sadly struggling with several health issues during the past few years.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Art.

Jean’s strength and grit was to be admired. Jean committed her life to her family and to the farm on which (Art and her) lived for over 60 years. Art and Jean raised their four children; Elaine, Shane, Wayne and Ben on the farm. Jean lived her life as a hard-working farm wife; cooking, canning, baking, cleaning, gardening, and caring for her beloved family. Her life certainly wasn’t an easy one back-in-the-day but she enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and spending time with her family and close friends.

She spent the spare time that she had making embroidering, crocheting blankets, patching jeans and of course playing cards.  Jean loved her children and grandkids to no end, prayed for them, worried about them and cared for them. She was the happiest being around family and close friends. The bonds formed through family are forever. Jean planted these bonds in her family, watered them, encouraged them, supported them... it was her life’s purpose.

Jean is survived by her four children, eleven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Jean’s life will be remembered and celebrated as one with kindness, strength, love, and forgiveness.

Forever remembered, with greatest love and respect,

Your family and friends.
