Clarence was born west of Carstairs, second child to Clifford and Beatrice Aarsby. His early schooling was at Banner School west of Carstairs, and he finished High School in Carstairs. While going to school he worked in the afternoons and evenings at the body shop! After finishing school he farmed with his Dad and brother, Lester.

In 1951 he married Norma Stevenson and bought his first quarter section with his wife and raised their three children there. He farmed for many years with his Dad and Brother on the family homestead. After Clifford retired, Clarence and Lester continued the farming tradition with their families. The Aarsby boys continued to farm west of Carstairs with their growing families for decades.

Clarence had several losses in his life, the biggest being the lost of his sons, Rick in 1989, Daryl in 2011.

He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad, his sisters, Val Edmundson, and Beryl Francis.

Clarence is survived by his daughter Gwen (Brian) Wollen, grandchildren Marty (Sharon) Hamm, Corrie Hamm (Luke Rashotte), Mitch (Cheryl ) Hamm, Dee (Paul )Valstar, Clint (Marsha) Aarsby, Clay Aarsby (Teresa Zimmer) Stacey Aarsby (Joe Culliton), Cody Aarsby. Great-Grandchildren: Ayden and Liam Hamm, Thea and Annelies Valstar, Wyatt and Chase Aarsby, John and Carley Culliton.

He’s also survived by his brother and friend Lester (Rene) Aarsby and many nieces, nephews cousins and very special friends. Clarence loved his family, friends and working on his antique tractors! Lana Conrad was a constant and very special friend in Dad’s life.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the family will host a Celebration of Life on is birthday July 13, 2021, details to follow later.
