QMJHL roundup: Minville paces Olympiques to 4-1 win over Foreurs

GATINEAU, Que. — Jeremie Minville had a goal and two assists, Zach Pelletier made 21 saves, and the Gatineau Olympiques knocked off the visiting Val-d'Or Foreurs 4-1 in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Saturday at Centre Slush Puppie.

Nathan Levesque, Gabriel Seguin and Justin Boisselle also scored for the Olympiques (17-27-3-3), who scored the game's first two goals then hung on for the victory. Charles Boutin chipped in with two assists.

Nathan Drapeau scored for the Foreurs (13-30-3-2), who were outshot 37-22.

The Olympiques led 2-0 after the first period and the second was scoreless.

The Olympiques went 2-for-7 on the power play, while the Foreurs were 0-for-3.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Quinn Kennedy scored three goals in the third period and Charle Truchon added a single as the visiting Rimouski Oceanic beat the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 4-1.

Quentin Miller stopped 32 shots for the Oceanic (26-20-3-0), while Jacob Mathieu and Mael St-Denis each chipped in with two assists.

Mathis Cloutier scored for the Armada (21-21-4-1), who were outshot 45-33.

QUEBEC CITY, Que. — Justin Gill scored at 3:37 of overtime as the visiting Baie-Comeau Drakkar edged the Quebec Remparts 2-1.

Raoul Boilard also scored for the East Division-leading Drakkar (40-8-2-0), who outshot the Remparts 37-19.

Pier-Etienne Cloutier scored for the Remparts (18-28-3-0). The teams were scoreless heading into the third period.

Mathys Fernandez made 18 saves to record the shutout for the Cataractes (22-24-2-1).

Jack Milner stopped 24 of 25 shots for the Maritimes Division-leading Mooseheads (31-12-7-1).

MONCTON, N.B. — Blake Pilgrim-Edwards and Colby Huggan each scored twice, Emile Perron had three assists, and the visiting Acadie-Bathurst Titan edged the Moncton Wildcats 7-5.

Louis-Francois Belanger, Mathieu St-Onge and Milo Roelens also scored for the Titan (23-21-3-2). Roelens also had two assists.

Gabe Smith, Connor Trenholm, Olivier Boutin, Caleb Desnoyers and Natan Grenier scored for the Wildcats (27-13-3-3), who trailed 3-1 after the first period and 5-2 heading into the third. Julius Sumpf and Boutin each chipped in with two assists.
