Strong results for Olds gymnastic club

OLDS — Members of the Imagine Gymnastics Club’s Xcel platinum team took first place in all of Alberta, among several strong results obtained by club members during two competitions held in Edmonton in April. 

Alberta Gymnastics Xcel Championships 

In Xcel silver, Brynlee Lunde won silver on balance beam and placed eighth overall.  

In Xcel gold competition, Ruby Ebelher placed third on the uneven bars and 11th overall (also the youngest gymnast to compete in that level). 

Salayna Rajapaksa placed sixth in vault and 13th overall. Maggie Locke finished 14th overall.  

In Xcel platinum, Cece Hilderbrandt placed third in the floor competition and 10th overall. Hailey Sigurdson finished third on the uneven bars and fifth overall. 

Megan Grisack placed 14th overall, Emma Kreiger 16th overall and Harper Chernesky 18th overall. 
  
Artistic Provincials 

Level 6  
Kennedy Jaffray won bronze on the balance beam and finished 10th overall. 
Pam Watson placed 11th overall, Carmen Watson 17th overall, Penny Symes 18th overall and Renata King 19th overall.  

Level 7 
Meagan Kozie placed 18th overall.
