The Olds Stingers are halfway through their season and sit atop the standings in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League's junior B Tier III division. As of June 6, the Stingers have a 6-2 record, lead the league in goals with 86 and boast the best goal differential in the league.Head coach Gary Gaudette said he wanted to go undefeated – as any competitor would want – but he has still been impressed with his team so far.“The boys are scoring and our goaltending is doing very well this year,” Gaudette said.“We just wanted to finish in the top three of the league and have a good start to provincials this year.”When asked for any surprise performances, Gaudette pointed out his two goalies, Craig Campbell and Keifer Olsen.“They improved a lot this year, over the last years. I would have to say those two are the two biggest surprises this year.”[email protected]
