Two local high school cross-country runners finished in the top 10 at the provincials held in Red Deer Oct. 20.
Emily Lucas finished sixth and Amy Severston finished ninth in the three-kilometre run, competing against a field of 132 junior high girls.
“As far as I am aware, Innisfail has never had two runners finish in the top 10 at provincials,” said coach Dean Woroniuk in an email.
Devon Chambers finished 48th out of 115 in the five-kilometre run.
