Nine cyclones compete for zones

The school also had the most athletes on the team out of all the schools in attendance said coach Jeff Anderson. In total, 29 Cyclones were competing.

Sydney Daines won the gold aggregate for the junior girls, meaning she was first or second in every one of her events.

The Cyclones who will be in Camrose May 23 qualifying for zones include:

Junior Girls: Sydney Daines placed first in 400m and 800m, and second in 1,500m.

Senior Girls: Ricki Beagle placed second in 800m and in the 1,500m. Michayla Williams placed first in discus and third in shot.

Junior Boys: Colten Webster placed first in the 400m, second in the 200m and third in 800m. Devin Chambers placed first in the 3,000m and third in 1,500m. Landon Beardsworth placed second in discus.

Intermediate Boys: Brandyn Blain placed first in the 100m as well as the 200m. Willie Mulligan placed second in discus.

Senior Boys: Baden Seifried placed second in discus.
