OLDS — The Olds College Broncos hockey women’s team has obtained a goaltender with some Fire.

They’ve signed Cienna Kinghorn, formerly a member of the U18AAA Calgary Fire, for the 2021-22 season.

Broncos head coach Chris Leeming is excited by the addition of Kinghorn.

In a news release, he described her as “another solid option between the pipes.”

“We believe that she is a great fit for our team both athletically and academically, as well as personality-wise,” Leeming added.

"I am very excited to start this next chapter of my life as a part of the Broncos family,” Kinghorn said. “I can't wait to get started and meet this amazing group of girls as being a part of this family has been a childhood dream of mine."

Kinghorn has a family connection to Olds College. Her brother is currently working on a welding apprenticeship there. She plans to obtain an ag and heavy equipment diploma.
