The Olds Grizzlys have made a few roster moves in preparation for the 2013 training camp in August.

The club has completed a trade initiated on Dec. 1, 2012 by sending defenceman Connar Bass to the Calgary Mustangs.

Bass, a native of Calgary, played in 46 games for the Grizzlys last season, scoring one goal and three assists.

The Grizzlys have also signed forward Dustin Gorgi, who played with the Red Deer Midget Optimist Chiefs last season. Gorgi had 23 points in 34 games last season for the Chiefs.

He added nine points in helping the Chiefs defend the Telus Cup, Canada's national midget championship.

Two other signings the Grizzlys have made in preparation for the 2013-14 season include defenceman Nikolas Koberstein, who played for the St. Albert Raiders midget club last season, and defenceman Chaydon Lauber, who was added to the Grizzlys' protected list. Lauber, 16, played a majority of the season last year for a midget team in Medicine Hat. By adding Lauber to the team's protected list, no other Alberta Junior Hockey League club can claim him until he turns 17.
