The Olds Female Bantam Renegades claimed the Rocky Mountain Hockey League title on the weekend, beating the Calgary Inferno in two consecutive games.

Keira Davidson was the scoring hero in the clinching game, getting both goals. Winning the title was a cap on a successful month and season, as the team also claimed the provincial championship that was held in Stetler from March 15 to 18.

During the provincial tournament, the team went 3-0-1 in the round-robin portion before Jenna Wesseen was solid in goal stopping all 41 shots to shut out the home Stetler CSI Storm 4-0 in the semi-final. In the final, the Renegades erased two one-goal leads against Onoway, posting a 4-2 victory to claim the provincial title. Dayna Leonard scored the championship-winning goal with just over six minutes to play in the game.
