Two males entered the bar with weapons and demanded money: police

INNISFAIL - Police have released photos of two suspects involved in yesterday's armed robbery of The Zoo bar at the Innisfail Hotel in an attempt to help identify them.

Innisfail RCMP responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery in progress at the bar around 11:15 p.m. on July 24.

"Two males entered the bar with weapons and demanded money. The two men took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a silver Chrysler 300 car toward Red Deer. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident," Innisfail RCMP Sgt. Lori Eiler said in a press issued today.

The local detachment is asking for help identifying the two men.

Police say the first male is described as skinny, possibly 20 to 30 years old and about 5’7” – 5’8” tall. He was wearing a black mask and a white and black hoodie -- white on top and bottom with black.

The second male is described as skinny, possibly 20 to 30 years old wearing a mask and a jacket with a reflective stripe on the back.

"The RCMP welcome any information about this crime and encourages the public to report any information they may have that will lead to the arrest of these two men," Eiler said in the release.

Police say they aren't providing further information about the incident at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
