No Swift tickets
After looking for Taylor Swift concert tickets on Kijiji an individual paid $125 through an electronic bank transfer. The fan did not receive the tickets for the June concert and suspects fraud. RCMP stress residents should be cautious when buying tickets online.
Fake five suspected
A suspected counterfeit five-dollar bill was reported by a local business March 14. Police have sent the bill away to be verified for authenticity.
Vehicle recovered
Police found another stolen vehicle, this time along Highway 590 on March 14. The four-door silver 1995 Chevy Lumina was missing from the Blackfalds area as of March 8.
Firework mischief
On March 14 around 5:45 p.m. on 56 Street, fireworks were seen coming from a black truck before the vehicle headed towards Shoppers Drug Mart. The incident was reported within minutes.
Siphoned gas
A vehicle owner reported a nearly empty tank of gas March 15. Police suspect gas had been siphoned off the night before in Penhold.
Bike stolen
Innisfail RCMP say a white Scott mountain bike was stolen from an apartment parking garage between March 15 and March 16. Police have the serial number and are investigating.
Mailbox hit
Two post office boxes were hit by two young males in a dark blue truck in the afternoon on March 21.
