Witnesses sought

Innisfail RCMP are asking any witnesses who might know why a male in his 50s was lying on the sidewalk and bleeding on 49 Street at about 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 to contact them.

Cpl. A.J. Mand said police are unsure of what happened to cause the man's injuries, adding it's possible there was an assault.

The man was taken to hospital by emergency services.

Trucks taken

A 2004 Chevy Silverado was taken from a business on 51 Street, police said.

The theft was reported on Nov. 27 and is believed to have occurred overnight. Someone broke into the business and took the truck, Mand said.

On Nov. 26, a 1998 Chevy, grey in colour, was stolen from 47 Avenue between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., he said.

Church damaged

Mischief to the inside of the church in Kevisville was reported to the RCMP on Nov. 24.

The vandalism is thought to have occurred sometime in the previous three weeks, police said. They said nothing was stolen.

Arrested on warrants

On Nov. 25, RCMP were dispatched to an Innisfail restaurant because of a disturbance.

Officers found one heavily intoxicated male and arrested him on warrants out of Calgary for mischief and failing to appear. They charged him with breaching release conditions as well.

Impaired charges

Sheriffs conducting a traffic stop on the QEII near Old Pole Road called in the Innisfail RCMP for aid on Nov. 22.

They'd pulled a 39-year-old Innisfail man over for speeding and suspected he might be impaired. The Innisfail RCMP charged him with impaired driving and driving with his blood-alcohol level over the legal limit.

Scared off

A woman reported to police she'd scared away a couple of suspects attempting to get into a cargo trailer.

The incident was reported Nov. 24 at about 11:16 p.m. and occurred on 34 Street.

Lease site theft

An air compressor, an old slip tank and copper wiring were stolen from an oil lease site near Twp. Rd. 350.

The incident happened overnight and was reported to the RCMP Nov. 25.

Propane tanks stolen

Two 30-pound propane tanks were stolen from the backyard of a residence on 67 Street on Nov. 26.

Mand said the theft occurred between 3 and 4 p.m. The tanks were taken off a camper trailer.
