After several months' absence from the Innisfail marketplace Greyhound passenger and cargo services are once again available locally.
As of Monday, June 23, ALL Vac Sales and Services, owned and operated by Trevor and Deb Hardy, are now also the Greyhound Canada Transportation ULC service providers in Innisfail and area.
“We wanted to be able to provide another option for Innisfail to ship goods across Alberta and to allow Innisfail citizens a location to catch the bus north or south,” said Trevor. “There was a gap in service in Innisfail for a few months and we decided to pick up the pieces and offer an affordable shipping option for businesses.”
Along with drop-off parcel delivery on Greyhound's Alberta routes, Hardy will also be offering parcel pickup and delivery in Innisfail on an as-of-yet undetermined schedule.
“At this point, we don't know exactly how busy we will be but on request we will pick up and deliver,” added Hardy. “As with all Greyhound depots, there will be an additional charge for the extra service but it will be reasonable.”
The service operator noted that passenger service is now available at 2:15 a.m. for destinations north and 3:55 a.m. for points south. Passengers will be dropped off and picked up at ALL Vac's location at 5108 - 47 Ave. in front of the building.
“As we are part of the milk run, passenger service is an add-on at present,” said Hardy. “Our customers will be able to purchase tickets online or inside the shop during the day. Once the bus arrives, passengers will be required to show their ticket and go on their way.”
Hardy noted that offering Greyhound services is a good complement to his business.
