DIDSBURY - The Mountainview Colts’ 2023-24 season is on the line this Wednesday with the team down 2-0 in the first-round best of five playoff series with the Rocky Mountain House Rams.

The Heritage Junior B Hockey League Colts dropped Game 1 by a 5-1 score at the Didsbury Memorial Complex (DMC) on Saturday night despite outshooting the Rams 42-23.

Forward Haiden Parks got the Colts’ lone goal with assists from captain Patron Rothenbusch and Steven Bell.

The teams travelled to the Rocky Arena for Game 2 on Sunday night.

Steven Bell got the Colt’s lone goal with an assist from Rothenbusch in a 3-1 loss.

Dan Visser is the coach of the Colts. He says the team remains confident.

“It’s tough and not the spot we should be in,” he said. “I’m sure the boys can come out Wednesday and pull through with a victory. We need to make our chances count. We need a big crowd to feed off of.”

Wednesday’s game at the DMC starts at 7:15.

If needed, Game 4 goes at the Rocky Arena on Friday and Game 5 at the DMC on Saturday.
