DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts are hoping for a rebound this coming weekend against Red Deer and Airdrie after dropping games Friday and Saturday.

The Colts travelled to Sylvan Lake to take on the Wranglers Friday night, getting goals from Trey Stovin (assist Jordan Saunders), Nate McNeely (unassisted) and McNeely again (assist Corbin Rae) in 6-3 loss.

Colts’ netminder Chance Griffith stopped 25 of 30 shots.

The Colts hosted the south division Okotoks Carstar Bison in a 1-0 loss on Saturday.

Netminder Griffith stopped 45 of 46 shots in the hard-fought match that saw Okotoks score the game’s only goal late in the third period.

The Colts host the Red Deer Vipers at the Didsbury Memorial Complex on Friday, followed by an away game against the Airdrie Techmation Thunder on Saturday night.

The Colts are currently in third place in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League north division, three points behind Airdrie and 10 behind first-place Sylvan Lake.
