DIDSBURY - A Family Community Support Services (FCSS) campaign to celebrate and thank essential care workers for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic has raised $850, town council heard during the July 14 council meeting.

The funds are the result of sign sales to local and area residents and businesses over the past two months. The money will be given to the Essentials for Our Community support organization.

In all, 33 signs were sold in town since the campaign was launched in May. The town oversaw the campaign.

Mayor Rhonda Hunter applauded all those involved in the campaign.
