Colts season over following 7-4 loss

DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts 2021-22 season came to an end Friday night with a 7-4 loss to the Airdrie Techmation Thunder.

The loss was the second for the Didsbury-based team in the best-of-three first-round playoff series, eliminating the team from the playoffs.

During the Feb. 11 game in Airdrie, the Colts got goals from Corson Waiting (assist Wyatt Gelinas), Tanner Austin (assists Logan Richards, Simon Leischner), Waiting (assists Carter Layden, Richards), and Steven Bell (Hayden Sotheran).

The Thunder got goals from Dylan Westlake (2), Joey Haden (2), Brett LeGrandeur, Kory Zinck and Trey Stovin.

The Colts lost to Airdrie 5-3 on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in Game 1.
