CREMONA - Some of Cremona School’s top students from the 2022-23 school year were honoured at the academic awards ceremony on Sept. 21.

Special award and scholarships were also presented. Grade 12 student Carmen Reid received the Premier’s Citizenship Award, and Grade 12 Owen Cameron on the Governor General Medal.

In all, more than 100 students from Grade 5 to Grade 12 were recognized.

The Sept. 21 ceremony  was organized by Mr. Alex Hutcheon, academic counsellor. The MC for the evening was Mr. Darryl Korody, principal. High school band opened with O Canada, lead by Mr. Alex Hutcheon, band director.

"We have amazing community support; our award presenters, all the parents/guardians and community members who came out to celebrate the academic successes of our students," said school spokesperson Kristi McKinnon.
