Crews continue to work on the clean-up efforts as they find reasons for a massive flood that washed through the Ecole Plamondon School and the Plamondon library on Thursday afternoon.

More video

As students, staff and community members made their way through the flood and out of the school, many took videos of the unusual event that saw waves of water crashing through school hallways. Video also shows one empty classroom actually filling up with water before its door burst open, sending more water into the building. Many of the videos and images are being shared.

Updates on the progress and possible reasons behind the spectacular flooding will be updated as information is made available.

Northern Lights Public School officials are expected to issue updates throughout the weekend leading into the new school week. Lac La Biche County staff have also been contacted about what may have caused the apparent utility pipe issue.
