Cold Lake man arrested in relation to drug trafficking investigation

Following an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, a 38-year-old man from Cold Lake has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance as well as being in possession of a stolen truck.

COLD LAKE – In relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, the Cold Lake RCMP General Investigations Section arrested and charged a 38-year-old man on Aug. 25. 

Police allege that during the investigation, the man was also in possession of a stolen truck. RCMP members seized the truck and executed a search warrant at a residence at a rural location near Cold Lake. 

Ryan Flood was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. 

Cold Lake RCMP confirmed to Lakeland This Week that the controlled substance being trafficked was cocaine. 

The 38-year-old was released by a Justice of the Peace on a $1,000 Release Order with conditions to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on Sept. 13.
