Alberta RCMP releases photos of rural homicide victim found near Airdrie

"In consultation with his family, [Major Crimes Unit] are releasing photos of Jaiteg in the event that someone recognizes him and has information that may assist this investigation."

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has released two photos of the former San Francisco-area resident who was found dead southeast of Airdrie last month.

On June 9,  Airdrie Rural RCMP responded to the report of a suspicious death in the area of Range Road 284 and Township Road 264, in Rocky View County. An autopsy was conducted at the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on June 13, and the manner of death was deemed a homicide. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Jaiteg Singh Waraich.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are investigating and need assistance from the public in solving this crime.

"Jaiteg may have been going by a different name while living in Canada," an updated press release states. "In consultation with his family, MCU are releasing photos of Jaiteg in the event that someone recognizes him and has information that may assist this investigation."
