OLDS — The annual Olds Fashioned Christmas light-up event was held Dec. 2.

The event began with activities in Centennial Park, including a giant X’s and O’s game, lawn bowling, horse and wagon rides, a hay bale maze, nativity scene, opportunities to toast marshmallows, and of course, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the gazebo.

That was followed by the annual Santa Claus Parade of Lights in the Uptowne area and a lengthy fireworks show fired from just south of 54th Street.

The weather was much warmer than last year’s event and that spurred lots of people to attend.
