The event has always been the official kick off to celebrate the Olds & District Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Awards and its nominees.
According to Flames owner Prokopis Roussakos the decision was made because of the uncertainty surrounding COVID restrictions, Alberta Health Services, and the cancellation of Oldstoberfest.
The small business awards banquet is still scheduled for Oct. 20 at the Olds College Alumni Centre. Stay tuned for updates.
