OLDS — Two women who played their basketball in the Olds area and one who played in Three Hills are joining the Olds College Broncos women’s basketball team this fall.

They are Hannah Graville, Naomi Rowe and Essie Pryor.

Graville and Rowe both played for Old's Koinonia Christian School and were part of the team when it won the Division 1A championship two years ago.

Pryor is from Three Hills and was coached by former University of Calgary Dino basketball star Leighann Doan Reimer.

Graville is a 5'11" wing who will be an key piece for the women's program as it moves forward.

"She has tremendous character and poise and her understanding of concepts will only make her a force on the defensive end,” said head coach Craig Anderson.

“On offense she crashes the boards without fear and she is developing a 15-foot game that will only make us stronger."

Rowe is a dynamic 5'7" perimeter player with a strong work ethic. She was named athlete of the year last year.

"She is eager to learn and is excited to play at the next level. She is an athletic guard that will be able to defend other quicker players the full length of the court," Anderson said.

Pryor is a 5'11" beast in the post. She has great fundamentals and will add depth to the Broncos roster.

"She is a good shooter and sees the floor extremely well. She always wants to get better and asks for feedback and then executes that feedback," Anderson said.

While at Olds College, Graville will be taking the bachelor of applied science - agribusiness program. Pryor will be enrolled in business management and Rowe will be enrolled in the bachelor of applied science - horticulture program.
