Jody Shane Dick wins Cremona byelection

CREMONA - Jody Shane Dick has won the June 12 byelection in the Village of Cremona, defeating three other candidates, according to unofficial results.

Shane garnered 48 votes, Andy Lacy got 37, Leslie Abrams got 24 and Michael Greier got three votes.

The byelection was held to replace councillor Joseph Shi, who resigned in March for personal reasons.

The results of the June 12 byelection are scheduled to be made official on June 16.

In other Village of Cremona news, mayor Tim Hagen is expected to return to council in September, says chief administrative officer Karen O’Connor.

Hagen is on a leave of medical absence. Deputy mayor Joseph Canaday is currently the acting mayor of the municipality.
