Abhinaya Natesh

Abhinaya Natesh began her journalistic career as a student in Chennai, India where she interned at one of the country’s top-reputed news organizations. She wrote about versatile subjects, including community stories, entertainment, business and politics.
In one of the more memorable moments in her career, she had the opportunity to interview the now-Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin.
From the land where Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman (the composer of the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack) was born, Abhinaya moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario. There, she spent three years studying film production and freelancing about local businesses before making the trek to the West Coast.
She’s enthusiastic about exploring beautiful British Columbia and immersing herself in the cultures of Burnaby and New Westminster, in particular.
When not working, Abhinaya — which is Sanskrit for dance/expression — can be found dancing herself (as she’s a classical Bharatnatyam dancer), travelling and talking about movies and pop culture.
