Sundre residents were no doubt a bit nervous on Tuesday, June 7 when this intimidating cloud formation that seemed to threaten an imminent tornado hovered near the rodeo grounds for a little while before finally dissipating.

U-12 Sox host inaugural ball tourney

The first Sundre U-12 Sox softball tournament was held Saturday, May 28 at the ball diamonds behind the schools. The squad hosted three visiting teams and played all day. Pictured here is Jordyn Roberts winding up for a pitch. Organizers were pleased the weather held out for the inaugural event as the forecast had called for rain. The Sox played three games, lost one and claimed second place, while the Airdrie Aces took top spot.
