SUNDRE — Mounties are on the lookout for a red, Ford F350 Platinum Edition pickup truck after the driver fled from police.

Over the past weekend, the truck's driver evaded RCMP twice when members attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

At about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, and again today (Monday, Oct. 25) at roughly 3:30 a.m., officers tried to pull over the suspect vehicle, which both times refused to stop.

“The suspect driving the truck was noted to be wearing a white ball hat backwards,” reads a portion of a press release issued today.

“The suspect vehicle is described as a red F350 Platinum Edition that has a bright light bar on the front.”

Anyone who sees the truck is advised not to approach or pursue the suspect, but rather to immediately call the local police detachment to provide details like the vehicle’s last known location.

The Sundre detachment can be reached weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 403-638-3675. Information can also be submitted outside of business hours by calling 403-638-3655.

Alternatively, tips can also be sent anonymously through Crime Stoppers by contacting 1-800-222-8477 or by going online to crimestoppers.ab.ca.
